bercause if you dont let it run its cycle in so many times it locks down the motor and requires dealership mechanic to go out there and clear the codes and thats about a 1000 dollars a pop. I think there good in a semi truck but not with all the other crap there putting them on ecspeciaally in working equipment like loaders and so forth. But guess what there not that economical to use at all because guess what burns off that extra soot? I'll tell ya, it requires even more diesel so if your on a tight budget with diesel better stay away from em.
I'll tell ya they go over there and burn off all the soot that builds up in the exhaust. Them systems that your talking about are called 'regens' and know how they work? In an effort to have some form of 'accuracy' in the game, the trucks in the game do not emit smoke and from what I've read in other posts similar to this one, the trucks in ETS2 and ATS will NEVER belch smoke., sorry. If one smokes now, it tends to mean that something is wrong and the truck is in need of maintenance or repair.
